Returns & Refunds Policy

At VAN-FYER Outdoor, we take pride in the quality of our outdoor and 4×4 accessories. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help. Please review our return and refund guidelines below.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all products purchased directly from the VAN-FYER Outdoor website or through our authorised dealers within South Africa.

2. Your Rights

All returns are handled in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). You are entitled to return products that are defective, unsafe, or not as described, subject to the conditions outlined below.

3. When You Can Return or Exchange

  • You changed your mind and the product is unused and in original packaging (within 14 days of delivery).
  • The product is defective, damaged, or not as described (within the warranty period).
  • You received the wrong item or variant (within 30 days of purchase).

4. Conditions for Change-of-Mind Returns

  • The product must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original condition and packaging.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • A handling or restocking fee (up to 20%) may apply if the item or packaging is damaged or incomplete.
  • Custom, made-to-order, or modified products are not eligible for return.

5. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Installed or used accessories
  • Custom or special-order products
  • Opened consumables (e.g., cleaning agents, chemicals)
  • Products damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, or neglect
  • Items clearly marked as “non-returnable”

6. Defective or Warranty Returns

If your product is faulty or not as described:

  1. Contact us within 7 business days of discovering the issue.
  2. Provide proof of purchase and photos (if possible).
  3. Return the product in its original packaging.
  4. Once inspected, we’ll repair, replace, or refund the product within 5 business days if the fault is confirmed.

Note: Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or normal wear and tear is not covered.

7. Refunds

Refunds are processed using the original payment method whenever possible.

  • Refunds exclude original shipping fees (unless the return is due to our error).
  • Return shipping costs are covered by VAN-FYER Outdoor only if the product is defective or the wrong item was sent.

8. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order before it ships, please contact us immediately. Once dispatched, standard return procedures apply. Please avoid refusing delivery, as this may cause additional fees or delays.

9. Return Shipping

  • Shipping fees for change-of-mind returns are non-refundable.
  • Use a trackable courier service when returning items and keep your proof of shipment until the process is complete.

10. Inspection & Right of Refusal

We reserve the right to reject or adjust refunds if:

  • Returned items are damaged, incomplete, or not in saleable condition.
  • Evidence suggests misuse, incorrect installation, or policy abuse.

11. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the purchased item’s value. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages resulting from product use or installation.

12. How to Start a Return

To begin your return process:

  1. Email us at info@vanfyeroutdoor.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We’ll issue a Return Authorisation (RA) number and provide return instructions.
  3. Send your product securely packaged, quoting your RA number on the parcel.
  4. We’ll notify you once your return is received and processed.

13. Policy Updates

VAN-FYER Outdoor reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time. The version published on our website at the time of purchase will apply to your order.
